Posted on Saturday, September 3, 2011 by Ongki
Day 1
Arrival in Christchurch, ready to launch your South Island Sun and Snow Sports New Zealand itinerary. Head to your accommodation.
Day 2
Today you are free to explore Christchurch. Christchurch is the largest city in the south of the island, and there is plenty to see and do in this beautiful city.
Christchurch has a very "English" feel, which is reflected in the architecture, and the Avon River, which flows through the center of town.
Proposed activities include a boat ride on the Avon, a tram ride through the city, a gondola, or perhaps a trip to Akaroa, a French village situated by the sea on the peninsula bank.
3 day.
Time to hit the road in New Zealand itinerary. Today you're off to the beautiful village of Hanmer Springs, famous for its thermal pools and water park.Vožnja takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and then head to the pool for a relaxing soak. There are various pools of different temperatures. For children (or young at heart) there is a water park with various slides.
4 day.
Today is your New Zealand tour itinerary takes you on a spectacular seaside town Kaikoura.
Kaikoura is famous for fresh seafood, whale watching, local seal colony, and beautiful scenery.
Please note-the best time to go whale watching in the morning before the wind and the sea to pick up.
the mountains touch the sea at Kaikoura, and in winter the snow-capped, making for wonderful photo opportunities.
There are a wide range of accommodation in Kaikoura, with something for all budgets.
days 5, 6 and 7
Today is your New Zealand itinerary takes you to the bustling city of Nelson (3 hours drive ).
Nelson is located on the shores of Tasman Bay, and is the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park, one of the premier South Island Tasman atrakcije.Abel is located approximately 1 hours drive from Nelson and is accessed through the village bay side offers Marahau.Park a wide range of walks and activities such as kayak trips, guided tours and water taxi rides.
Further west of Abel Tasman's Golden Bay, is an idyllic coastal town. Farewell Spit is the north western edge of the South Island is a favorite spot for bird watching and seal. Another popular attraction is the Pupu Springs, a freshwater source of the water so cold that the divers are only allowed to remain submerged for a limited period.
Nelson also has many other attractions, such as selection of vineyards, the World of wearable art, a large arts and cultural community.
Your accommodation options are many and varied.
8 day.
Today, our 3.5-hour drive leads us to Punakaiki on the rugged west coast.
Punakaiki is famous for its unusual limestone rock known as the Pancake Rocks. These formations resemble stacks of pancakes, and they are complemented by well-known flaw, which really hit the big ocean swells.
accommodation in Punakaiki are limited, but do not despair. My favorite was a beautiful rock mjestu.Naselje absolute beachfront offers a stunning view of snow ocean.Pokriven Alps are also visible across the bay, and restaurant space offers the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset over the ocean.
9 day.
Today is a 2.5 hour drive to the west coast amazing glaciers, Franz Josef and Fox.
There are many possibilities of accommodation in Franz Josef and Fox Glacier. My pick is the Franz Josef, because the village has more shopping and dining options.
There are several ways to see the glaciers izbliza.Hoda from the parking lot to the glacier face at Franz Josef will be about 1.5 to 2 hours return.
Guided glacier walks are also available, but my pick (if your budget allows) is a
helicopter flight and snow landing. You'll be amazed at sight and thrill rides. "Must do" if resources permit. Keep in mind that although flights are weather dependent. Conditions change quickly on the west coast, so reservations are essential.
Dan 10
Your South Island Sun and Snow Sports New Zealand itinerary now takes you to the beautiful lake side town of Wanaka.
Wanaka is famous as the city office for two world class ski areas, Cardrona and Treble Cone, a ski season the town buzzes with activity.
center is located on the edge of the lake, and offers numerous dining and accommodation opcije.Motel overlooking the lake or apartment is well worth the extra money, as well as year round views are stunning.
There are many things to see and do in Wanaka, including 4WD tours, scenic flights, winery tours, golf and quirky mystical world of the labyrinth.
Days 11 & 12
Today, the South Island Sun and Snow New Zealand itinerary, you head to what many consider to be one of the most spectacular places on earth. Queenstown is known as the "Adventure Capital" of New Zealand, and for good razlog.Razne adventure activities is enormous, with everyting from bungy jumping (multiple locations), jet boating, para-sailing, para gliding, 4WD tours, rafting, riding groves high above the city, and of course skiing and snowboarding in two near the ski fields, Coronet Peak and Remarkables.
if you are looking for something a little more sedate, a winery tour, play golf at one of several superb courses, or a trip on Lake Wakatipu on historisë steamship, TSS Earnslaw can be your comfortable with.
, but if there is one thing that the region is world famous, it was Milford Sound. Called the Eighth Wonder of the World, Milford Sound is the number one attraction in New Zealand, a very good reason. Towering peaks and steep cliffs that seem to disappear into the clouds, waterfalls and deep dark waters of Milford Sound all combine to make this one of the most amazing places you'll ever visit.
Milford Sound is approximately 4 hours drive each way from Queenstown, which makes for a very long and tiring dan.Bolja alternative is to take a bus and cruise and let someone else worry about driving.
I have no doubt that he will talk about Milford Sound for many years. Enjoy u.
13th day
Today is your South Island Sun and Snow Sports New Zealand itinerary takes you to the area's World Heritage Mt Cook (3.5 hours drive ).
At 3754 meters, Mt Cook is New Zealand's highest planina.Planina popular with climbers from all over the world, and is Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre, which reveals the history of the region, and contains a 3D theater, a planetarium, and museum .
Your accommodation options are limited in Mt Cook, but there is no shortage of things to do in this beautiful place.
14 days.
Today, the South Island of the Sun and snow tour, you take the 4 hour drive from Mt Cook to Christchurch.
